The role of a leader in shaping organizational culture: enterprise case “X”

Each organization has its own organizational culture. Each culture has its own deep-rooted values that are difficult to change. But the leader, using his power, influence and creativity, is capable of changing organizational culture. Organizational culture is a powerful force that directs and shapes the behavior of individuals in an organization. The problem is that not all managers are capable of providing an effective organizational culture. This problem is particularly related to leadership, personal qualities, leadership, sensitivity, ability to reflect on other people’s emotions, high emotional intelligence, determination, attitudes towards followers, and the whole body of the organization. The aim of the work is to reveal the role of a leader in the formation of organizational culture. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were addressed: to define the concepts of leadership and organizational culture; to determine the role of a leader in shaping organizational culture; to define the factors of influence of the leader on organizational culture; to determine the relationship between leadership and organizational culture with the relationship between the leader and the empirical level of investigation; to analyze the influence of the leader’s personal qualities on teamwork and customer relationships; identify the different impact of male and female managers on the innovative culture of the X pharmaceutical companies network. The study found that the strongest expressions of the personal attributes of the leader (the ability to see talent, responsibility, determination, rigor, communicative, initiative, the more employees felt the need for teams, and the inverse correlation between personal leadership and customer relationships was determined: the greater the leader’s tenacity, the less attention is paid to customer relationships.
